TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE
“An old man, a young man and life’s greatest lesson ...”
An autobiographical account of the author’s relationship with his old college professor, Tuesdays with Morrie follows the friendship and discoveries that come to author, Mitch Albom, as he tracks down and visits with the dying old man. What started out as a once or twice visit, soon turns into a weekly plane trip as Albom flies each Tuesday to visit with Morrie in his home. There, in Morrie’s den, they sit. They talk. And Morrie, with his failing body, teaches Mitch – and the reader – some of life’s greatest lessons.
“The truth is, part of me is every age. I’m a three-year-old, I’m a five-year-old. I’m a thirty-seven-year-old, I’m a fifty-year-old. I’ve been through all of them, and I know what it’s like. I delight in being a child when it’s appropriate to be a child. I delight in being a wise old man. Think of all I can be! I’m every age up to my own...”
An uplifting account, Tuesday with Morrie is a must read for everyone.
